Ian Pike was born on 13-2-1939 to Godly parents and was born again in 1954 and was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1957. About this time, he met the love of his life Barbara (My Honey Bunch), they were married on 24-9-1960 and had 4 children Craig, Trudy, Bradley, and Kim (Deceased). He has always been actively involved in Church life as a Youth Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent, Worship Leader, Lay Preacher, and a member of the Church Board of Management. He was a Pastor from 1978 to 1993 and has since remained active in Church life. In September 2010 his youngest daughter Kim (Aged 40) un-expectantly went to Heaven. He has a God-given gift of being able to impart Spiritual truth in a way that people understand. He has been planted at Highway Church Ormeau since January 2011, and on 24-1-2014 his Honey Bunch finished her life’s journey and went to be with her Lord without warning. His first booklet ‘Reflections of a married man’ has been published by Highway Church and has since written – Reflections of what is a man? Reflections of a man who did not know what he knew, Reflections on the Old Testament, and Reflections on God’s way for us to change. He is now enjoying the new journey God has for him and is excited about what God is doing in the Church right now.
Ian, you are so encouraging, when you had a good reason to slow down you decided to use your God-given ability to encourage people.
Thank you Max for your comment, I want to say to you and all who read this blog, that it is my intention to finish the race of life as hard as I can. Although, my body might be slowing down, I intend to live passionately for my Lord as long as live. It is a great experience living close to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and I desire every person to live this way.
