We live in a world that is changing very rapidly, especially the once-held Godly values.  We see evil concepts being promoted as good and we never or very rarely hear of Godly values being promoted, in fact, as a whole they are despised. It is so good to remind ourselves that we know how the world ends and that God is in control despite what we see happening worldwide. Verse 8 says: “He shall judge the world in righteousness, and He will administer judgement for the people in uprightness “. It is so good to be reminded that God is aware of how we live and our love for Him is not unnoticed. Sometimes we can get caught up with the hustle and bustle of life and forget that we are His children and as such are precious in His sight. Verse 9 says: ‘The Lord will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of Trouble “. This verse reminds us of the importance of our daily walk with our  Lord. I admit there have been times over my lifetime when that was not the case and when I lived that way I relied on my ability, not God’s ability to live by. Gladly those times have been few and God always used some circumstance to bring me back to trusting Him. Today I am so glad my Lord is a refuge that I can safely turn to, Proverbs 18: 10 says: “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe “. Again I am so pleased in this season of my life that I have found living with Jesus so precious and rewarding. I am amazed at how he helps me in the ‘Little things of life’ and that comes out of the decision to see the Goodness of God in my life. I am so thankful for the peace He gives and the way He has opened my eyes to see Him working in the lives of others. There was a time when I saw wrong in a lot of things especially how the way the Church functioned, I am so glad that God has dealt with me and how I have learned to see His goodness all the time, which inspires me to love Him even more! Verse 10 says: “And those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you Lord have not forsaken those who seek you “. It is good to be reminded that in the Old Testament the word “Know” is not about acquiring knowledge but is an expression of understanding. It means “ To understand by seeing” This helps us understand the significance of the verse that says: “But the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits “ (Daniel 11:32b ). It is not about acquiring knowledge about God, but seeing Him at work in our lives, when we do this it is so easy to put our trust in Him and be confident that He is always looking after us. When we come to this conclusion it is so easy to put Verse 11 into practice Which says: “Sing to the Lord, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people “. Life is so good when we are full of praise to our God, praising brings such contentment to our lives, but more importantly, the presence of God in our lives impacts the people that we meet. It is easy to smile when we are praising the Lord. Verse 12 goes on to say: “God does not forget the cry of the Humble “. I am encouraged by the way David expresses his confidence in his God because as I reflect on my life I come to the same conclusion. We serve a wonderful Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who becomes more precious each day!

  1. Everyone loves praise and more so for the creator of this world and that he was willing to die for my sins
